Isn’t she so sweet?! I just love how cozy she is all snuggled in these wraps we used for her newborn session. I love all her hair and warm skin tone. She did so good.

Newborn, Maternity FAQ
How do I know what date to chose to book if my baby has not yet arrived?
I recommend booking before you deliver to help me plan my schedule and give those that are on my calendar first dips on moving their date around. So, I have you choose a tentative date 1-2 weeks after your estimated due date. Once baby arrives we can adjust the day.
Do I have control over what images you take?
I have you choose your colors by sending a questionnaire for you to fill out. This helps me know what I will be planning with props, wraps and headbands etc that are available in my studio. If you have a requested pose from my work, you are more than welcome to share and we will add it to your pose line up.
Why is it so important to do newborn photos within the first week or two?
All newborns have a certain “look” to them. Usually within a week or two, that newborn-like quality starts to disappear. The point of newborn photos is to capture that newborn look, so I always recommend photographing within this time period. Two weeks is my favorite time but I have photographed babies at even one month that do well. I just feel two weeks is a sweet spot. Please don’t feel you missed out if you are passed this window. We can definitely capture images at whatever stage your baby is at.
Where do I go for the session?
My studio inside Wombs Window in Wilmington. It is where everything we need for your session is located, including my controlled lighting and baby soothing tools.
What should I wear to my maternity session?
Ultimately, what you wear depends on what you’re comfortable in. That said, I have collected a variety of Momma gowns that ar used for maternity and newborn sessions. Most of them are bump friendly. We will coordinate the colors you’re wanting but that I also work with. You are more than welcome to bring outfits of your own as well.
When should I have my maternity photos taken?
I think some of the best maternity photos are taken between 27-32 mark. This is when you’re really showing, but isn’t so close to your due date that you’re really uncomfortable.
When should I schedule maternity photos?
As a general rule of thumb, I like to schedule your maternity session shortly after you’ve told friends and family the exciting news! This will give us plenty of time to find a great day that works well for both of us.
