It is my favorite time of the year! It’s a time that I look forward to the summer temps dropping. Although I do wish our California had more of what the four seasons that the mid west enjoys but I am sure no one in this state can complain about our year round weather. LOL
I have already began buying new home decor items! Give me all the pumpkins! LOL…Don’t worry they are not up yet but I do enjoy having them up for a solid 3 months 😉
OK, so with that comes our annual Fall family special where we can design holiday cards and update the family images on the wall. These are full sessions, NOT mini sessions but are at a discounted price.
You will be able to choose 20 images from your gallery, add on holiday cards, purchase the entire gallery and add on canvas or prints. Here is the link to the details and we have already begun filling up. So don’t delay. be the early bird so you don’t forget 😉
Trust me I know how hard and time consuming this can be! I hope this blog post helps you out. It doesn’t have to be super hard when you remember that our final goal is to be focused on you and your family. I love moments that you will remember more than the clothes you are wearing. Here are 4 tips that I recommend following:
Pick your color palette. Once you choose your color than the rest should come much quicker. I usually like to build off Moms outfit first. But not always needed. Once Mom has found the outfit she loves then you can pull the colors out from that.
2. Start with Once piece and build from there. Which is taking us back to tip number 1. Once Moms outfit is chosen and colors are pulled from there it can make this a bit easier. You can then choose some solids or a pattern that does not compete with Moms outfit or pattern but that still compliments each other.
3. Don’t have everyone match. This keeps your images not so boring but colorful and unique. I would definitely stay away from bright colors and busy patterns for everyone.
4. Choose some accessories. I love texture! Weather it be in our surroundings or what everyone is wearing. Choosing scarves, jewelry, bow ties, suspenders etc are always helpful to build on.
Remember, I am here to help and have created a Pinterest board to give you some ideas. I add to this often so be sure to check back often. Also, here are some brands that I love to shop at:
The Knotted Fern has some adorable woman and children’s clothing. I love their linens and have stocked my studio with some of their items.
I hope this has helped. Be sure to check out my Pinterest board and reach out anytime for my suggestions.

Welcome to the world Adrian! The Celaya family has visited me on three different occasions at my newborn studio in Murrieta, CA. I loved that I was able to capture another addition to this sweet family! They traveled all the way from the Palm Springs area to see me once again. His brother and sisters sessions are hanging up in the studio and Baby Adrian followed in their footsteps and did so good during his session!
Adrian was nine days old during his session and this was mom’s third baby. His brother is 4 and his sister is 18 months. Adrian was very content and quiet during his session and all of the kids were incredibly well behaved. They absolutely loved holding their baby brother. Sister was a bit unsure but still did so well as we photographed the family and her with her new brother.
I especially love the shots of them all together as well as mom and dad with baby alone. So sweet.
